LaNore lights up Bunker Links with 68 to grab the Round 1 lead
Tyson LaNore turned back the clock Friday at Bunker Links, carding a 3-under 68 to take the Round 1 lead at the 2026 Men's All-City Championship. It's the first time LaNore has topped an All-City leaderboard in our records — his last documented appearance was a fifth-place run in 2011 — and he'll carry a one-shot edge into Saturday's second round at Soangetaha.
Lurking right behind him is the man nobody wants in their rearview: David Blake, whose 2-under 69 puts the 2019-21 three-peat champion one back. Kyle McGee (74) and Aaron Thiel (73) headline the chase pack, while a three-way logjam at 75 (Brett Selfridge, Ben Olson, David Kaminski) keeps half the flight within shouting distance.
In the Senior flight, Chris Watkins picked up right where his back-to-back documented titles (2021, 2022) left off, posting a flight-best 71 to lead John Minion by four. The Super Senior flight has a genuine duel brewing: Ned Owens and Jeff Jones matched each other shot for shot at 1-under 70, seven clear of Mike Duffy and Bob Tapper at 79.
Round 2 tees off Saturday at Soangetaha starting at noon, with the leaders going off last at 1:00. The final round moves to Lake Bracken on Sunday.
